So the Southern Poverty Law Center finally lost one. And a big one at that. The FBI has dropped the SPLC from its list of “partners” on the agency’s hate crimes page, The Daily Caller revealed last week.

The agency dropped SPLC, an FBI spokesman told TheDC, because,“the Civil Rights program only provides links to resources within the federal government. While we appreciate the tremendous support we receive from a variety of organizations, we have elected not to identify those groups on the civil rights page.”

Also purged was the Anti-Defamation League, another of the “partners” directing FBI gumshoes toward the purveyors of “hate.” Of course, by the lights of these two estimable organizations, those purveyors include anyone who doesn’t think like they do; i.e., anyone who doesn’t toe the radical left’s line, particularly on race and immigration. ADL chieftain Abe Foxman pronounced himself “shocked, surprised and disappointed that this would be done without any consultation.” Yes, because before the government does anything, it must, by all means, consult Honest Abe.

Let’s not forget who the real haters are: precisely those the FBI purged under pressure from pro-family groups, which had targeted SPLC. SPLC, recall, is directly responsible for pushing homophile Floyd Corkins over the edge, and, with its vile anti-Christian propaganda, sending him to the headquarters of the Family Research Council to open fire with a 9mm SIG Sauer pistol. He nearly killed the security guard .SPLC had identified FRC as an “anti-gay hate group” and put the organization on its “hate map” (where it still is). FRC is a “hate group” because its avers that a nether region of the human anatomy an exit, not an entrance, and that two men cannot be married for the same reason that two keys cannot work together. And there’s a small thing called the Bible. Anyway, when Corkins admitted what he did, he flatly stated that he got his information about FRC from SPLC. SPLC’s reply to that datum was hilarious: We didn’t list FRC’s address. Well, no, it didn’t. And didn’t have to. Corkins got the message that FRC “hates” homosexuals, and he took it from there. It probably took him all of a minute to find FRC’s address at its website.

As for ADL, simply recall the silly suggestion that Mel Gibson’s “Passion of the Christ” would “inspire anti-Semitism.” After the film hit theaters, the prognosticated pogroms never materialized. Then there is its long-running campaign to destroy Pat Buchanan, whom it falsely calls an “unrepentant bigot.” It even maintains its own “report” on the nefarious commentator. For years, liberal Jews who make a heck of a lot of movies in Hollywood, and who produce a heck of lot of garbage traveling under the name of music, have been spitting on all things Christian. Is that not hate? Jews are deeply involved in the porn industry because, the late Al Goldstein averred, “Christ sucks” and “Catholicism sucks.” Is that not hate? One is reminded of Joe Sobran’s witty observation: We are always told why anti-Semitism is a sin; no one ever explains why it’s a temptation.

Anyway, so the real hate groups, the SPLC and ADL, apparently have lost their seat at the table unless the FBI is taking their domestic intelligence data on the sly. That wouldn’t be surprising, but at least these hypocrites and smear artists no longer can use the federal imprimatur.
