What the Republican Congress Will NOT Do

View all posts from this blog

By:Clyde Wilson | November 07, 2014

Treat their election victory and new  majorities as a mandate for anything other than enjoying additional power and perks and maneuvering for the White House in the next election.

Repeal Obamacare.

Block the Obama illegal immigrant ukase (if he should pursue it). They may adopt some cosmetic “compromise” invented by PR men which will pretend to be both compassionate and firm, i.e. “moderate.”

Secure the southern border.

Replace Boehner and McConnell with leadership with some guts and principles.

Stop useless, dangerous, and counter-productive meddling in Eastern Europe, the Muslim world, and everywhere else.

Repudiate their neocon Trotskyite foreign policy.

Reign in the federal judges who are dictating “same-sex marriage” to the States.

Cut spending.

Eliminate any of the Great Society and subsequent institutions that are using taxpaper money to destroy traditional society.

Block any appointments of left-wing extremists to judgeships that Obama may make in his remaining time.

Do anything to stop the ongoing proletarianisation of the American middle class.

Professor Wilson, They will also use their resources to banish, deride and insult any Senator or Representative from their own party who represents the slightest departure from the party line such as Walter Jones from North Carolina, Ron Paul from Texas Patrick Buchanan from the talking head circuit, or the unpatriotic scriveners who warned the Trotskyites in print publications of the political perils and national expense of endless war and miltary quagmires.

I have often reflected over the last few years, since I have been forced into an awakening regarding the true nature of our "Constitutional" and "free" "nation", that such views as these that Dr. Wilson is wont to express are perhaps just a bit too dire and curmudgeonly. The problem is, I can't seem to muster the energy to resist the galling, persistent truth contained in them! Reality doesn't stop being reality just because I don't like it! As usual, spot-on, Dr. Wilson! Keep 'em coming!

According to Paul Kengor of Grove City College, the Congress has actually reduced spending in each of the last two years. The numbers he produced showed an actual reduction in spending, not just a reduction in the rate of growth. Is he wrong?

Dr. Wilson is of course right on all of the points he makes. We have a new Southern Democrat here in San Antonio that Dr. Wilson may like. Our new District Attorney: LaHood the Lebanese Connection. I am sure he will bring law and order to our crime infested city! I like to imagine what L.B.J. might have done to this upstart if L.B.J. was still alive. My candidate Republican Susan Reed managed to sleep through the whole campaign. My how Texas has changed! Personally I have never liked any Southern Democrats that appeared on my ballot. I never did like W.'s buddy Bob Bullock. Of course Texas had many great ones back in the day such as Sam Houston, John Connally, etc.
