The Commandant of the Marine Corps, General James Conway, has courageously defied the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs and his Commander-in-Chief with public testimony before the Senate Armed Services Committee opposing lifting the ban on homosexuals serving in the Armed Forces. “Ban,” of course, hardly describes the current policy.

“The term limit issue needs to be decided at the ballot box. In losing the right to vote on this referendum Illinois voters are losing ownership of their government. If this ruling is allowed to stand, Illinois . . . will continue to have . . . a government of the incumbents, by the lawyers, and for the lobbyists.”
