The New Blacklist

My days as a political analyst at MSNBC have come to an end.

After 10 enjoyable years, I am departing, after an incessant clamor from the left that to permit me continued access to the microphones of MSNBC would be an outrage against decency, and dangerous.

The calls for my firing began almost immediately with the Oct. 18 publication of Suicide of a Superpower: Will America Survive to 2025?

A group called Color of Change, whose mission statement says that it "exists to strengthen Black America's political voice," claimed that my book espouses a "white supremacist ideology." Color of Change took particular umbrage at the title of Chapter 4, "The End of White America."

Media Matters parroted the party line: He has blasphemed!

A Human Rights Campaign that bills itself as America's leading voice for lesbians, bisexuals, gays and transgendered people said that Buchanan's "extremist ideas are incredibly harmful to millions of LBGT people around the world."

Their rage was triggered by a remark to NPR's Diane Rehm—that I believe homosexual acts to be "unnatural and immoral."

On Nov. 2, Abe Foxman of the Anti-Defamation League, who has sought to have me censored for 22 years, piled on.

"Buchanan has shown himself, time and again, to be a racist and an anti-Semite," said Foxman. Buchanan "bemoans the destruction of white Christian America" and says America's shrinking Jewish population is due to the "collective decision of Jews themselves."

Well, yes, I do bemoan what Newsweek's 2009 cover called "The Decline and Fall of Christian America" and editor Jon Meacham described as "The End of Christian America." After all, I am a Christian.

And what else explains the shrinkage of the U.S. Jewish population by 6 percent in the 1990s and its projected decline by another 50 percent by 2050, if not the "collective decision of Jews themselves"?

Let error be tolerated, said Thomas Jefferson, "so long as reason is left free to combat it." What Foxman and ADL are about in demanding that my voice be silenced is, in the Jeffersonian sense, intrinsically un-American.

Consider what it is these people are saying.

They are saying that a respected publisher, St. Martin's, colluded with me to produce a racist, homophobic, anti-Semitic book, and CNN, FOX News, C-SPAN, FOX Business News and the 150 radio shows on which I appeared failed to detect its evil and helped to promote a moral atrocity.

If my book is racist and anti-Semitic, how did Sean Hannity, Erin Burnett, Judge Andrew Napolitano, Megyn Kelly, Lou Dobbs and Ralph Nader miss that? How did Charles Payne, African-American host on Fox radio, who has interviewed me three times, fail to detect its racism?

How did Michael Medved miss its anti-Semitism?

In a 2009 cover story in the Atlantic, "The End of White America?" from which my chapter title was taken, professor Hua Hsu revels in the passing of America's white majority. At Portland State, President Clinton got a huge ovation when he told students that white Americans will be a minority in 2050.

Is this writer alone forbidden to broach the subject?

That homosexual acts are unnatural and immoral has been doctrine in the Catholic Church for 2,000 years.

Is it now hate speech to restate traditional Catholic beliefs?

Documented in the 488 pages and 1,500 footnotes of Suicide of a Superpower is my thesis that America is Balkanizing, breaking down along the lines of religion, race, ethnicity, culture and ideology, and that Western peoples are facing demographic death by century's end.

Are such subjects taboo? Are they unfit for national debate?

So it would seem. MSNBC President Phil Griffin told reporters, "I don't think the ideas that (Buchanan) put forth (in his book) are appropriate for the national dialogue, much less on MSNBC."

In the 10 years I have been at MSNBC, the network has taken heat for what I have written, and faithfully honored our contract.

Yet my four-months' absence from MSNBC and now my departure represent an undeniable victory for the blacklisters.

The modus operandi of these thought police at Color of Change and ADL is to brand as racists and anti-Semites any writer who dares to venture outside the narrow corral in which they seek to confine debate.

All the while prattling about their love of dissent and devotion to the First Amendment, they seek systematically to silence and censor dissent.

Without a hearing, they smear and stigmatize as racist, homophobic or anti-Semitic any who contradict what George Orwell once called their "smelly little orthodoxies." They then demand that the heretic recant, grovel, apologize, and pledge to go forth and sin no more.

Defy them, and they will go after the network where you work, the newspapers that carry your column, the conventions that invite you to speak. If all else fails, they go after the advertisers.

I know these blacklisters. They operate behind closed doors, with phone calls, mailed threats and off-the-record meetings. They work in the dark because, as Al Smith said, nothing un-American can live in the sunlight.

  1. This was a predictable finish to Pat's career on this network. Now all seven of the folks in America who still watch this electronic sewage called MSNBC can revel in PJB's ouster. Mr. Buchanan has too many faithful followers and readers to be gone from the airways for long.

Because his arguments are too sound to be refuted in most cases, PJB must face the shadowy blacklisters he speaks of above armed only with truth, which fortunately is, like sunlight, a potent disinfectant.

May God grant you many, many happy years, Mr. Buchanan!

  2. The last sliver of light has been blotted out by the dark cloud, and the un-American now rule the U.S.. No longer is it safe to go outside.

  3. Performing this act (letting go of Mr. Buchanan), the network (MSNBC) re-confirmed the accuracy of Mr. Buchanan's stands and views. It further more visible that any departure from the commonly held thought (no matter how warped) is not covered by the freedom of speech, expression of any dissenting view. Why, to some people this may even sound as communism - socialism where no dissenging views are allowed.

The only way to continue to exist (speak your mind, voice your views, own a gun) will be allowed only to the limitted number of people as long as they parrot the official party line proclaimed on the Commisariat's daily (CNN).

This will be easy to enforce since we have developed a sophisticated network of surrveillance networks after 9/11 with a pretext "to protect the Homeland" - under the "Patriot Act". So the ever shrinking civil liberties will become extinct in the nearest future.

I was shocked to learn of this bit of news - since I thought that it actually may be in the interest of the predominant thinkers and ideologists to have one antagonist who will controvert and oppose their views as to leave us (the common folk) with the idea of debate and allowed dissenting thought. Oh well - I have been thinking to go and teach in China, Japan, Korea or Taiwan anyhow. This will only give me less time to pack my one bag.

Mr. Buchanan, kindly accept my applogies, for they know not, what they do.

    Regretfully,
    Iliya Pavlovich

  4. An example of what would have provoked the censors at Color of Change is the following statement by Patrick Buchanan on page 243 in Suicide of a Superpower:

“Among the unmentionables that explain racial separation is crime. An analysis of ‘single offender victimization’ figures from the FBI for 2007 finds blacks committed 433,934 violent crimes against whites, eight times as many as the 55,685 that whites committed against blacks. Interracial rape is almost exclusively black-on-white, with 14,000 assaults on white women by African American males in 2007. Not one case of white sexual assault on a black female was found in the FBI study. Are not such crimes of both interracial violence and sexual degradation hate crimes?”

Mr. Buchanan carefully cites the FBI source of this information with a footnote.

“If I have spoken ill, bear witness concerning the evil; but if well, why strikest thou me?”

  5. Did somebody mention the great benefits of McCarthyism, to the soicety at large?

In my view even the KKK should be allowed to exist as long as they are not found to commit any criminal acts. Freeedom of speech is one of our most fundamental rights - no there is no such think as "inciting to riot, armed rebellion against the government, and overthrow".

It even looks dangerous to cite the Constitution in certain circles, in front of some audiences.

In God we trust - or do we?

Our country came to exist as a heaven for the oppressed and persecuted European (mainly Protestant and other non-Catholics) as well as an economic solution out of poverty of the war stricken Europe
    (1863-1864 January Uprising
    1864 Second Schleswig War
    1864 January Uprising
    1866 Austro-Prussian War
    1866-1869 Cretan Revolt
    1870–1871 Franco-Prussian War
    1872-1876 Third Carlist War
    1873-1874 Cantonal Revolution

    1885 Serbo-Bulgarian War
    1893–1896 Cod War of 1893

From what I remember (I am not 100% certain) the greatest influx of Europeans took place between 1904 and 1908.

  6. (Quote by Foxman in damning Buchanan): 'Buchanan "bemoans the destruction of white Christian America" and says America's shrinking Jewish population is due to the "collective decision of Jews themselves." -end quote ... Analysis: A goy or non-Jew is not allowed to bemoan his eradication in public, if at the hands of Jews. A goy or non-Jew is not allowed to suggest Jews are responsible for themselves. All goys or non-Jews are second class citizens when in the comparison with Jews. These are just naturally some of the tribal tenets of Judaism whose utilitarian trinity consists of religion-politics-ethnicity as one. So with Jews now ascendant economically and politically, culturally you'll always have a Jewish Inquisition, parading around as if it were something else, in fact as if it were quite the opposite of what it is.

I have pointed out that this upbringing or cultural indoctrination from childhood makes people like Foxman not only myopic about this but actually blind about it. So I agree with Iliya they subsequently do not know what they do, as their own words give evidence to in any sphere of America today. However this is real life and when they do the inevitable and ongoing Jewish Inquisition as they do they are *responsible for it; just like no one else can actually be driving the car except the driver. Believe it or not, this is literally astonishing to Jews because their indoctrination from the cradle is such that their life seems like it's on a kind of autopilot whether it's going poorly or they're winning so how could they be considered 'responsible'? In one sense this is good because only groups survive, as they have. But in another sense it is very, very bad because whenever they are winning their blindness about themselves always causes them to go overboard or do overkill which is bad for those on the receiving end, and then bad for Jews as a group when the tables turn and the backlash begins. What about leaders-?-same upbringing. It's rare, in fact - the proverbial exception to the rule which proves it, that an exception appears like a Brother Nathanael. Who can be found at the Brother Nathanael foundation.org site. But there He is: so perhaps there's some cause for 'hope'? 'Receiving naught by elements so slow But heavy tears badges of either's woe.' -w.s.

  7. Political correctness is insidious and comes with a complete set of double standards. If you against the neoconservative foreign policy of the past few administrations, then you are an isolationist, anti-Semitic and a nativist. If you happen to think that the Palestinian cause has some merits, you are automatically a anti-Semite...even if you are Jewish! The list is endless but the disease of political correctness has infected both parties and eating away what is left of the Constitution like a cancerous growth..

Political correctness will triumph the Bill of Rights every time. A free discussion of ideas is no longer possible. In corporate America, in to be an executive you must adhere very strictly to the various politically correct protocols that infect our large companies - affirmative action, gay rights, feminist preferences, and on and on. - all enforced by a gestapo of sorts called Human Relations. Oppose these progressive doctrines and you will not have a career......or a job.

Pat Buchanan is an American hero and has been castigated by both political parties for telling the truth for many many years. Obviously, The People of the Lie don't like to hear the truth.

  8. I didn't know intelligent, educated people watched MSNBC. I didn't know Pat was a regular, or I'd have watched. It is worse than sad, even disgusting, of course, but not unexpected. It was hard for Cicero, too.

  9. Pat now joins a long-line of truth-tellers punished for speaking openly against the accepted, worldly wisdom of the day. But he need not be remorseful, for he has “that golden key that opens the palace of eternity.”—Milton

  10. One thing Mr. Buchanan could have pointed out in this piece is that his comments about Jewish decline are made in the context of the loss of traditional religion generally. I suspect Mr. Buchanan does not exactly celebrate the decline of religious and conservative Jews. Russell Kirk made the same point in defending T.S. Eliot's remarks on "free thinking Jews." The point Eliot made was about the failures of secularism, not Judaism.

Concerning race, Mr. Buchanan likewise regrets, I assume, the dying of black Christian America. The death of Christian belief and practice does not aid blacks. In fact, whatever unity blacks and whites (especially in the South) have had in this country is due to a shared Christian heritage. The point Mr. Buchanan makes is about the importance of Christianity, not race.

Does anybody believe that those who joined in the pastime of moral outrage actually read the book? I have my doubts.

  11. Well, I am not sure why all that lamenting over the lost cause. As one of many suffering from America's intervention in former Yugoslavia, I can say there is nothing wrong with the America dissolving and the White America vanishing into the almighty LBGT pot (so eagerly promoted on all major networks). The late and recent White America never was and will be not able to make any good for the rest of the world and itself.
If Cristian America has less love for their Orthodox brothers than for Muslims, than let it just quietly die.

  12. ... and do you think nonwhite terra di Amerigo Vespucci will be any better?

You're on one (but by no means the only) outlet where Americans actually care about the fate of Serbian Christians, a fact which you would know if you paid any attention. Spare your anger for those who deserve it.

  13. "In a 2009 cover story in the Atlantic, "The End of White America?" from which my chapter title was taken, professor Hua Hsu revels in the passing of America's white majority. At Portland State, President Clinton got a huge ovation when he told students that white Americans will be a minority in 2050."

I spent a few years in public school. Almost 20 years before this, I had a social studies teacher who gloated over the same thing. By all appearances he was white, but I seem to recall that he did not claim to be so. I believe he had some sort of Asian blood.
At any rate, it's not clear to me that these folks ever consider that when all this comes to pass they will still be minorities. . . in a non-white country.

  14. With friends like these....

  15. It's unfortunate to see this happen, given that MSNBC anchors seemed to get along well with Buchanan (as YouTube vids might indicate).

Anyway, I find this "End of White America" issue to be a fake non-issue.

Is it not that Palestinian Americans are considered white or "Caucasian" Americans? That Arab Americans are also considered white? And that Iranian Americans are also placed in that category? Of course, at first sight, the colour of their skin does seem to indicate no less. But apparently, white a "cultural" or "ethnic" term. Even so, what exactly is the culture or ethnicity of all the other white Americans (who are not Palestinian, Arab, or Iranian)?

Nothing specific. We just have Irish Americans, Belgian Americans, French Americans, German Americans, Dutch Americans, WASPs, Polish Americans, Hungarian Americans, Russian Americans, and so on. Not one thing common among any of them. If Russians and Poles can be added to the same category including Dutch and English folk, why not go ahead and also include Palestinians there as well, right?

All in all, the word "white American" is one of extremely vague connotation that remains perpetually unclear. Which is why assuming that they are some singular organized group is perplexing.

So how can there be a "passing" or "end" of a group that never existed? It can't. Right?

  16. Perhaps slightly off topic, but equally worth thinking about. I have a Serbian born acquaintance, who actually volunteered and served with the USA forces in Kosovo just to see it all first-hand. I have known him (vaguely) for some 15 + years and I know him to be a staunch Republican.

This year he surprised me, by insisting that we all vote for Obama, because (in his view) that is the only way most of Americans will come to their senses and be forced to vote Republican (in his words some form of catharsis - cleansing) must take place after we are self-destroyed.

In my view this a little too radical - how do you know when have gone too far out on a limb, but I see his sense. My suicidal motives are considerably less pronounced. Strange point of view and worth thinking about even if only from the late night comics' point of view.

    Iliya Pavlovich

  17. I perceive it as a religious-ethnic group.

So I think the group that exists might be called Christian Caucasians--which includes Palestinians or Jews any of the various types of Whites, be they European or otherwise who are Christians--and neither of the Islamic nor Judaic faith.

That group is currently under attack.

  18. As for Abe Foxman's racist protection racket, ADL, it got its start after the Leo Frank trial in 1913 Atlanta, as I recall. Rich Jews from all over America pulled out all the stops to get Frank off the hook for murdering a 14-year-old girl working in his factory who he'd orally sodomized and left deep teeth marks belonging to him in her breasts and genitals. Frank's lawyers used every conceivable racial slur against two black men whom they tried to pin the crime on, but it backfired. Frank was broken out of jail and hanged by vigilantes. Witnesses were bought off by the Jews and Jewish newspapers kept up the drumbeat of Southern anti-Semitism. Frank was president of the local B'nai B'rith and known for his disgusting immorality around the children running machines in his factory. During the trial Frank's mother screamed out that the DA was a "Christian pig." Frank's guilt or innocence was never seriously considered by his Jewish backers, who rage was directed against any goyim who would dare impugn a "good Jewish boy" like Frank.

Several new books about the hate-filled Talmud make it clear many Jews see non-Jews as less than human. In fact Shas Party Chief Rabbi, Ovadia Josef, who's also part of Netanyahu's gov, last year reaffirmed Talmudic halacha that the Jews should kill all the goyim, saving only so many as are needed to serve the Jews. What does the ADL have to say about this?

This ADL tactic of accusing their victims is getting tiring for most Americans, I'd say.

  19. One may play with or exaggerate the issue, but “White America” always means WASP. And no matter who holds the wheel, Republicans or Democrates, there all have just one course for the global domination.

  20. Good Men are Always Being Sacked (illustration by Suzanne M. Bartley)

    http://douglassbartley.wordpress.com/2012/02/20/good-men-are-always-being-sacked/

  21. Mr. Buchanan has been relegated to fringe media and fringe sources as to besmirch his reputation and pronounced thought. If the NY Times or the Chicago Tribune publish any works of Pat Buchanan, those too will be promoted into "underground, anti-government media"

So much for the Freedom of speech.

No matter how hard we fight, we can never uproot all the stupidity of men - but the moment we stop fighting the stupidity will triumph over us.

If only 75% of American born people knew, how the US Constitution, was quoted, cited, written about, mentioned in speeches, schools, books, - outside of the USA, they would value it, and fight for it a lot more. This way it's the lesser number of well educated or foreign born Americans that are fighting for America.

I can't avoid two sentences from today's show on Discovery channel about Moonshine in the South:
Beer was legal to make, wine was legal to make, but not liquor.

The taxes on a gallon of liquor were as high as $2,00 so the "revenuers" and other agents went out to the backwoods to "bring these moonshiner to justice" -

Look how "bring moonshiners to justice" translates into generate revenue.

We are being lied to endlessly, and must never let our guard down.

I am absolutely appalled that this shame has taken place in public with such audacity. Not even a mild attempt to cloak this shame into some issue of "national interests" - homeland security or some other nebulous form.

  22. I don't remember that I had 4 posts on any topic no matter how horrible the subject, but in this case I am enraged (well beyond livid), since the matter is an insult to all things American, and we all gave (and continue to give) so much for our country - and "gave/give to our country" does not include what we are forced or mandated to give (taxes, fees, levies, other forms of extortion).

To be punished in such an inhuman way (as Mr. Buchanan), is beyond reproach and overtly hostile, it is downright criminal. We all know what "affirmative action" stands for. What is the proportion of the white Americans that have benefited from the affirmative action? What is the ratio of white vs. non-white employees at any government agency, post office, Department of Motor Vehicles in your state? According to my own experiences (NY, CA, FL, VA, GA) the ratio is about 10 (non-white) to 1 white. Admittedly I can't state with absolute certainty that all of them are legitimate US citizens.

To some extent this looks like the days of the Boston Tea Party - Taxation without representation is at issue yet again - this time by our own elected government. In addition to the gross injustices perpetrated by own government, we are to believe that "things are getting better". What things? Define "better"? I have to ask and answer my own questions.

    Iliya Pavlovich

  23. Dan,
The reminder of the Frank trial is most timely. I had heard of it in passing from my parents, who were children when it happened. But to go back and have a look at it now, has provided me with a fine opportunity to learn something of who we once were.

All these so-called mob violence episodes are really evidence of the once proud and self-confident people we were. The people who would surround a courthouse, peering intently into the - open!- windows, hanging on every word of the testimony, in the heat of a Georgia July, were Americans who still retained some inkling of where the sovereignty of the nation should lie - in themselves. I am in awe of our ancestors' lack of fear of the organized police power. Can we imagine a crowd of today's cowed victims of anarcho-tyranny actually going to the courthouse steps - the very jaws of the beast - and threatening one of our robed masters today, such that mounted troops have to swoop in and rescue him?

  24. It's quite true, everything Dr. Pavlovich says. And it has only been getting worse with Obama promoting "affirmative action" in the only way he can: government employment.

  25. Dr. Pavlovich here's perhaps a relevant quote from Plato's Seventh Letter:

"In one word, the man who has no natural kinship with this matter cannot be made akin to it by quickness of learning or memory; for it cannot be engendered at all in natures which are foreign to it. Therefore, if men are not by nature kinship allied to justice and all other things that are honourable, though they may be good at learning and remembering other knowledge of various kinds-or if they have the kinship but are slow learners and have no memory-none of all these will ever learn to the full the truth about virtue and vice."

If you are one of those who can learn the full truth, those questions and answers you speak of are not necessarily with yourself alone. You may wish to read, if you haven't already The Confessions of Saint Augustine, and Meditations by Marcus Aurelius, both of which are free online. Although I find having the books at hand much more intimate.

Presently, the apparently inextricable situation is: the richest blind leading (and devouring) the blind. In other words mechanistic materialism in its ongoing and inevitable descent has arrived at the insect level in 'human' affairs now. Which brings to mind some of the works of Kafka which I must revisit soon.

I think it may have been Aristotle who pointed out there really is no such thing as a conversation with oneself. In other words the soul at a distance is involved.

As Plato pointed out, we have the name, the definition, the image, the knowledge and the soul involved. ... Peace.

  26. Thank you Mr. Yurick,

Where I grew up we had "gymnasiums" between the ages of 14 and 18. Learning Latin was mandatory, philosophy was mandatory, so was logic. There isn't one person from the "evil" Communist block countries that has failed to read Marcus Aurelius and St. Augustine, let alone the Nicomanchean Ethics, most of Plato, most of Socrates, much of Aristotle - I admit we all tried to abbreviate the Iliad and the Odyssey. I do remain devoted to Marcus Aurelius' thought, very closely, to this day (45 years after I first laid my eyes on it, and re-read it a good few dozen times since). In either case I find that all the named authors held consistently views that had a lot in common - irrespective of date when the writings saw the light of day. I am glad that you too see the good fertile logical grounds among the same authors.

Allow me to get slightly off the topic you suggested and propose we look into the crime rate (by ethnicity), prison population composition (by ethnicity), and to suggest that the slavery has been abolished in the time of Abraham Lincoln (13th Amendment in 1864). But now, it seems like the nation entire is enslaved in a much different and a more sophisticated manner to its own government instead of plantation owners.

    Iliya Pavlovich

  27. Dr. Pavlovich amazing that at least those of the communist bloc were *not substantively made the victims of their educations as those at least of my generation ongoing were made here in the West. Such exactly as you indicate is the sophistication involved with our enslavement. I noticed twenty years ago in Fact it was a giant plantation here in the America and now in Europe since the 'euro', rapidly with momentum continuing in same one direction morphing from plantation to [concentration] camp?

Yes those voices through the ages, you've noticed as have I utter the same content or message speaking to one another as well as to those having ears in the moment. Marx had his Epicurus, Arendt her Aristotle. She was a sea'going vessel; the former a ship in a bottle.

  28. Mr. Yurick, the educational system in Eastern Europe was nothing short of phenomenal - compared to today's standards. In addition to a very good academic foundation, we were reasonably liberal - religion played a very small role, therefore (guilt-free) sex took over - the moment the exams passed. Additionally, I happen to be 6'6" (I lost a few inches over the years - with age), so basketball took up a good chunk of my spare time. Enough about me.

There have been times that I wished I was more like Mr. N. Moses, with whom I corresponded some time ago. To be so young, and so clear headed and so perceptive before the advanced age (I am nearly 60, and I started using my brains only in my 40s). I openly envy and applaud young people (like Mr. N. Moses) who manage to see through the fog of rubbish that surrounds us and stifles all our senses. He is a young man who refuses to be desensitized, and uses his clear thinking in short, eloquent, yet effective manner. If you notice, most of my posts have typos, run-on sentences, others are overly verbose, etc. etc. So, all that good academic platform and continuing education gets wasted - yet I keep trying. Stupidity surrounds us and we are forced to fight it, if we don't we are sure to succumb to it - so I remain vocal.

    Iliya Pavlovich

  29. Enough is enough.

Just a closing thought from a purely pragmatic standpoint. It is not some cosmic incurable ill that has befallen us - so that we can't find a decent remedy. It is our own lack of action. We are over 300 million persons in today's USA - do we all believe that our President is "the best man for the job"? With all due respect to the office of the President and our (perhaps slightly flawed) electoral system, I agree and accept to pledge allegiance to the President, but I equally reserve my right to dissent and protest - isn't that the basis of a true democracy - which seems to be leaking out of our open hands.

Mr. Buchanan, you have now joined the company of men who were crucified during their lifetime (Galileo, Socrates, Giordano Bruno, Martin Luther, Samuel Adams, Nicholas Kopernicus, Alexander Hamilton (the renegade from the West Indies), Sir Tomas Moore, etc. etc. All in all, not a bad company to be in.

    Iliya Pavlovich

  30. Yes Mr. N. Moses is quite remarkable. I distrust these times. Personally speaking I haven't a clue what specific actions to take, short of dropping out which I pretty much did 20 years ago. Buddhism overtly lists sincerity as a virtue. That's refreshing. I prefer presently Eastern Orthodox Christianity. Aristotle pointed out accurately we are for the most part our upbringing. I'm not opposed to religion. Life is a three legged table, religion, gold, and politics. But the fourth leg is invisible: World Nature & God. Problem is, get rid of the religion leg and the fourth leg flies away. Probably much too big a trade off for guilt-free sex? Man's primary task is in making peace with the fourth leg. It's determined also who we are from cradle to grave, it's just that the path is wide enough within narrow margins there's freedom of choice. The world is right-sized but 'enormously little' compared to God. It's a paradox. Like chance existing within the design; but that's not a paradox, chance has to exist can't be gotten rid of by man or there's no actual others, thus then of course no freedom. Six feet, six inches, that's enviable. I wish you well.

  31. Oh well, now we have
'African Americans For Obama' Launched By President's Campaign To Rally Black Voters (VIDEO)
    at Huffington Post: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/01/31/obama-campaign-unveils-la_n_1245395.html

God forbid we had "Caucasian Americans for Pat Buchanan" - that would be downright racist.

  32. Mr. Jacobi, I am quite confused here.

You have spoken of how civil rights protesters brought violence and disorder to your town, because they thought they can reverse the rule of law when the law fails to live up to their standards.

But now, you celebrate times when a judge's life would be at the stake of a violent mob if he rules on a case in any way different from their whims? Is that not abridging rule of law when it fails to live up to someone's standards?

If it is fair for large numbers of people to demand trial by mob violence and throw legal channels into the garbage bin, then is it not fair for CRA activists to use the threat of violence and riot to get their legislation passed? Or is rule of law only good when rule of law brings forth laws an individual person likes?

  33. Iliya you have something with that, if I may use your first name you seem rather a personable chap, and Dr. Pavlovich sounds a bit remote.

I have always wondered why the Caucasian money, Jewish, Christian, even Muslim didn't touch that base. Caucasians, especially Christians are so docile at this point in Time-it's not as if such overt support would create any kind of firestorm. It's not an issue of Caucasian supremacy at all. There's a time for everything including social equanimity, justice which is always of the mean or middle ground as Aristotle pointed out, balance. In that we're all as human beings more similar than different but also unique.

Nor is it necessarily any longer a question of Caucasian hubris, as if the given is Caucasian invulnerability. You know only cowardly dispositions, need to believe they can't lose, or similarly but opposite, must lose.

I know a concern is that generally Caucasians are too bright, smarter than the average bear, and if supported it may go to their/our heads only.

No I think it would have an ameliorative effect on all groups including the Caucasian in terms of everyone's moving a bit farther around the maturity curve. Caucasians would be reminded that yes they do exist in taking responsibility for themselves as a group. And other groups reminded they are not always automatically the victims in taking reponsibility for themselves.

Perhaps it's more about social awareness and actual tolerance. The group subsets of the human race in fact have age old uniquenesses inherent in each of them Black, Yellow, Red, Caucasian, none better than another but unique, and this is the knowledge about them more than merely the issue of image.

Anyhoo, your terse post above occasioned my thinking out loud here a bit more about it.
    Regards,

  34. Thank you Michael, of course you may call me Iliya, if I had my way I would abolish all titles including M.D. and Esquire - both are remnants of class societies and don't add up to a hill of beans. I know what I am worth with or without a PhD, M.D. FACOG or any other title. I am a fallible human being first and foremost. Yes I do get a few good ideas more often than my kinfolk, on account of this rather massive academic burden that I go to sleep with, and I wake up with that same burden. As I feel I have already inundated this topic with too many posts I will try to keep to myself after this (my last post on this topic), with closing words of Plato and Shakespeare:

    1. All men are by nature equal, made all of the same earth by one Workman; and however we deceive ourselves, as dear unto God is the poor peasant as the mighty prince.
    Plato

    2. HAMLET
Not where he eats, but where he is eaten: a certain
convocation of politic worms are e'en at him. Your
worm is your only emperor for diet: we fat all
creatures else to fat us, and we fat ourselves for
maggots: your fat king and your lean beggar is but
variable service, two dishes, but to one table:
    that's the end.
    xxxxxxxxx

A man may fish with the worm that hath eat of a
king, and cat of the fish that hath fed of that worm.

    KING CLAUDIUS
What dost you mean by this?

    HAMLET
Nothing but to show you how a king may go a
progress through the guts of a beggar.

  35. Yes, yes, all of that is true, but only a fool would think a peasant can do the work of a prince or that there is something evil in class differences. So let's not abolish titles. You have earned them. A janitor cannot do what you do, Dr. Pavlovich.

  36. In view of the facts established in accordance with the law during the Frank trial, Mr. Sanjay, your comment implying the verdict was influenced by mob coercion is staggering in its offensiveness. I only touched on the Jews' coercion and influence peddling behind the scenes. For example, Wm Burns of the detective agency, ostensibly hired by the Jews to investigate the facts, barely escaped prosecution in Georgia after being fingered for repeatedly trying to bribe witnesses to recant their testimony. Wake up, Mr. Sanjay, and welcome to the police state where the gov gets its list of "potential terrorists" handed to it by the ADL and the SPLC.

  37. Mr. Sanjay,

Neither the ends nor the means of King and the other Civil Rights agitators can be compared with the actions of the unruly crowds who took umbrage at the proceedings in the Frank trial.

The crowd outside that Georgia courtroom was focussed on a specific event with identifiable suspects. There was no doubt someone had murdered Mary Phagan, and two very plausible suspects were in hand. The fact that both suspects were members of out groups, the one a negro, the other a Jew, and yet the supposed barbaric Southern yokels took sides, meaning they would have to champion one or the other unpopular suspect in the teeth of heated opposition from their peers, shows there was more than a quest for vengeance and an opportunity to punish a member of a hated group operating there.

The fact that Frank hired detectives and eight lawyers, including a partner in the sitting governor's law firm, naturally led to suspicion that justice was not to be allowed to take its course. The fact that Jim Conley, the black suspect, was kept in seclusion for six weeks before the trial on orders of the state's solicitor general, led to suspicion that he was being intimidated into a tainted confession. So these crowds had something limited and concrete in mind when they demanded their particular version of justice. They were not trying to subvert the rule of law, they wanted to make sure the law worked, and they were not afraid to make the authorities fear their wrath. It is the fact that white Americans could be worked up to this wrath that I applaud. But this anger did not threaten the general peace.

In contrast, the campaign embarked upon by King and his followers was radically subversive in intent and national in scope. They tried, and largely succeeded, to use mob action to gut constitutional guarantees of freedom of association, of the right of private property, of the authority of states to regulate their elections - in passing making a mockery of the franchise - and set an example for blacks to flout the law which has been gathering momentum ever since.

  38. I understand. So the trial was a case of justice being subverted, with a black witness possibly being forced to give false confessions. And the public merely played the role of a watchdog on the incident, ensuring the whole process was done cleanly as per the letter of the law.

And CRA protesters worked to change the existing system of law, instead of merely working to ensure that the law was followed and implemented fairly.

This sort of confusion has remained on my mind, ever since Dr. Clyde Wilson wrote a piece distinguishing uprisings such as the Bacon Rebellion from those such as the French Revolution. Yes, the piece was quite clear and well-argued, but I can't say I or anyone I know can clearly demarcate good and bad reasons for challenging authorities. That sort of thing can't be easy to decide.

  39. No. Mr. Sanjay, I agree: there is no easy delineation to be made. Most of the great Christian moral theologians seems to be of the opinion that tyrannicide is permissible when you are sure that you can win and when both the action and the fallout are limited in scope. I think this could apply to disobedience of civil authorities in general. Mr. Jacobi seems to make a good case that in the matter of the CRM, the action and fallout were/have been anything but limited. I do suppose it is questionable, though whether letting Frank live would have had more fallout than did the uproar over his death.

  40. Mr. Sanjay writes:

"And the public merely played the role of a watchdog on the incident, ensuring the whole process was done cleanly as per the letter of the law."

A few points and then I will leave off this long digression:

No, I don't say the motives of those angry crowds were all high and noble. It is not likely that everyone in those crowds was simply interested in seeing impartial justice done. There were partisans of both factions, Jew haters and negro haters, simply wanting the blood of their preferred victim. And all were enraged and grieving for little Mary Phagan. They were not about to let a murder go unpunished, come what may, unlike today, when the public accepts whatever shenanigans the courts foist upon it.

What I am remarking is that white, Christian Americans once had, first, a pride in their identity; convictions; then the courage of their convictions; and a sense of ownership of the political/judicial process, all of which are ghosts of themselves today. And, as we see in the case of Pat Buchanan, today even mentioning this ghost is enough to get even highly placed persons punished.

Finally, the rage of these whites was directed toward specific elected and appointed representatives of their local government, members of their own racial group, men they knew from local families. Whereas the rage of blacks since the 60's has been unleashed against all whites.
