The Way We Are Now—Facts That Just Won’t Sink In
"Given a choice between an agreeable fantasy and a disagreeable fact, Americans will choose the fantasy every time." —Adlai Stevenson
What is the difference between President Clinton and President Bush? Clinton was a liar and incapable of shame. Bush is a liar, incapable of shame, and dangerously ignorant, incompetent, and irresponsible.
What is the difference between Hillary Clinton and Mitt Romney? Mitt has better hair.
The media, the punditry, and a large part of the public seem unable to perceive bad character and incompetence in our leaders. Or maybe it just doesn’t matter any more.
Garcia and Rodriguez are now among the ten most common family names in the U.S. Wilson temporarily edges out Martinez for no. 10.
More Third World aliens now enter the U.S. every six months than the entire number of British and European settlers who created the country out of a wilderness from 1607 to 1776.
Immigration in the last few decades has created a new American population. Surely there is no other instance in history of an entire people so weak and befuddled as to allow the rulers to give away their country and disinherit their children.
It is reported that last year in the U.S. eight billion dollars was spent on “diversity training.”
Politicians will never do something just because it is the right thing to do. They will often do wrong things if the wrong things flatter their vanity and enhance their power. They must always be forced to do the right thing by threat of punishment—witness the recent defeat of illegal alien amnesty.
However, defeat of the amnesty did not solve anything. Illegal immigration continues apace.
The federal assassins of Ruby Ridge and Waco will never be called to account.
The federal incompetents of 9/11 will never be called to account.
The federals responsible for the botched Iraq occupation will never be called to account.
The Republican Party and conservatism are not the same thing (and never have been). Get over it.
The "conservative movement" as a political force was strangled in its cradle more than a quarter century ago. Those who blather on about which candidate the "conservative movement" should or will support are talking about an imaginary thing that does not exist. Since Reagan put Bush Major on the ticket and surrendered to the Trotskyites, the "conservative movement" has been a Potemkin Village put up by Republican and neocon flacs when it is useful to distract attention from real issues and their real agendas.
Presidential candidates promise to crack down on illegal immigrants. Don’t believe it.
Presidential candidates promise to cut government spending and promote “family values.” Don’t believe it.
Presidential candidates promise brinksmanship with Iran and other “Islamofascist terrorists.” Believe it. And remember to duck.
America, prime example to the world of freedom and democracy, sends women from poor families to be killed in wars that rich young men only cheer for.
By Presidential proclamation St. Stephen's Day is now officially the Kwanzaa holiday.
Bush Minor has plotted to waste the lives and treasure of Americans in an unjustified war. He has failed to guard us against foreign invasion. Without question the Founding Fathers would have regarded these acts as "aiding and abetting enemies of the United States," i.e., treason.
Except for McCain and Dr. Paul, the Republican presidential contenders have the same military service record as Hillary Clinton.
The victory of any Republican candidate except for Dr. Paul in the next Presidential election will have one certain result. It will destroy forever any hope of conservative influence on American political life.
But Hillary must be stopped! Abandon every idea, principle, and hope you ever had and rush out to hail Mitt or Mike or Rudy as your saviour.

"Except for McCain and Dr. Paul, the Republican presidential contenders have the same military service record as Hillary Clinton."
That would be news to First Lt. Duncan Hunter, who served with the Rangers and the Airborne in Vietnam. Needless to say Dr. Wilson's comment will be true on Friday after Hunter places in the vicinity of Alan Keyes and John Cox out in Iowa and pulls out of the field.
"Presidential candidates promise brinksmanship with Iran and other “Islamofascist terrorists.” Believe it. And remember to duck."
Well said Prof. Wilson. Presidential elections are more akin to a game of musical chairs anyway.
By Presidential proclamation St. Stephen’s Day is now officially the Kwanzaa holiday!
That is sad to hear!
Rev.Mr. (Deacon) Stephen B.
There is NO diferent who is and who is going to be a President..not only in USA but in majoroity of influential countrys.
President is just a figure!
FREEMASONS are choosing The President and President has to do what they tell them to do...that is probably why they,
Presidents,do come across so 'strange, confused' in their speaches..a better actor and a lier will be 'people choice'...
Campaigns are just a joke But a good way to take even more money from public to.....why not as it become so easy way to steal!
'People always choose'for the President a candidate the FREEMASON choose to be...At the beganing of the Compaings are a little bit 'relax'...go with the flow But as farther away they go FREEMASONS having TOTAL MEDIA in their power start the job, like:
He is Harismatic,Smart,Loved,....had the money, did not have the money, ppl person,...:((((
I just do not understand why are ppl so naive and can not see the reality what is going on and how it is happening..
In coming election there is a big chance that they will let a Woman or a Black person to become a President..why not!?..
Good time to Prove that DEMOCRACY exist:(
If you do not want to have strong nation just let them have a 'democracy':(sound like a person, body without a head:(
Some of the most inteligent ppl on this Earth live in USA and they will never became a candidate for the Job:President as they do not want to give up morality over money!
Dr. Wilson,
Thank you for writing this post.
"More Third World aliens now enter the U.S. every six months than the entire number of British and European settlers who created the country out of a wilderness from 1607 to 1776." ~ Clyde N. Wilson
This is a very disturbing fact. I've seen other figures similar to this one, and it is saddening every time.
"Bush Minor has plotted to waste the lives and treasure of Americans in an unjustified war. He has failed to guard us against foreign invasion. Without question the Founding Fathers would have regarded these acts as “aiding and abetting enemies of the United States,” i.e., treason." ~ Clyde N. Wilson
Indeed.
I wonder what Dr. Wilson thinks of John Edwards, the native Carolinan in this race...you have to admit, he would be better than Hillary, Obama or any of the leading republicans.
Interesting that the recent 400th anniversary of Princess Matoaka's rescue of Capt. Smith went without notice anywhere on this site ("Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn't here.") I might have mentioned it myself had I not been preoccupied delivering my new son and showing him off to his mother's stepfamily-- named Fleming of all things-- who claim descent from the Rolfes, who introduced high-grade tobacco and miscegenation to the Anglo-Saxons.
"The victory of any Republican candidate except for Dr. Paul in the next Presidential election will have one certain result. It will destroy forever any hope of conservative influence on American political life."
With all due respect, Dr. Wilson, I doubt that even a Ron Paul victory will rejuvenate "conservative" influence in American politics.
The reason I say this is demographics. The Baby Boomers are now reaching retirement age, and they'll be up in arms demanding their Solid Gold Goodies: Medicare, SocSec and unlimited free time to enjoy their ill-gotten gains. Given the Human propensity to seek out "something for nothing" and the self-centered narcissism so characteristic of the 1940-1960 generation, I find it extremely difficult to believe that Imperial central-government spending will not skyrocket out of control between now and the date the last Boomer goes to the fires of Hell. At the very least, working Americans will be facing European-level taxes to pay for all these freebies.
There is NO politician that I am aware of---even the much-vaunted Dr. Paul---that will be able to withstand the Boomers' cries for their "benefits". In any event, Dr. Paul, not being an absolute monarch, will have to deal with an increasingly Leftist and confiscationist Congress. The members of that body will not be inclined to cooperate with him in any efforts he might make to even reduce the rates of increase in central-government spending.
Add in the financial difficulties to be added by an unstopped Mexican Invasion, and an economic collapse becomes very likely. (Greater than 50 %, in my opinion.)
There will be some minor potential benefits, however. The Empire will be forced to bail out of Iraq, Korea and Western Europe before the crash, since maintaining forces in those regions will tap money that would otherwise go towards paying Granny's drug bills and Grampa's greens fees. Red China will get tired of buying up increasingly worthless Imperial bonds, their cash will stop flowing in, and the Entitlement State will dry up and blow away.
This means that the Solid Gold Goodies will disappear by about 2025. GenXers, take note.
The really interesting question from where I'm sitting will be whether the American Empire will hold together as one nation.
Given the deliberate ethnic and racial polarizations induced by "civil rights" laws, the formal education system, and the actual education system (the entertainment media), one can easily envision a continent-wide war of all against all (black vs. white vs. hispanic, among others) once the Crash comes to pass. Does anyone think that Mexico, China or other nations will not succumb to temptation to grab a slice of land or two when that happens ?
Any which way you slice it, it's time to see to the larders, grab some popcorn, sit back, and watch the show ! (Absurdist comedy has always appealed to me.........)
Your servant,
Lord Karth
"America, prime example to the world of freedom and democracy, sends women from poor families to be killed in wars that rich young men only cheer for."
Yes - that grotesque marriage of idealism and self-interest: by being in favor of "equality" and women in combat, the folks who dodged service in Vietnam can alleviate feeling their unmanliness, going on and on about the brave soldiers from their radio booths. President Clinton was the master example of the man who used a liberal consciousness to exploit women and further his own self-aggrandizement - and they loved him for it! Equality and civil rights have been a precondition to the numbing of human nature and the easy acceptance of its corruption. It's all such trasparent hypocrisy, yet most people think better of a ERA advocate who treats women as commodities than a gentleman who treats them as ends in themselves. Such is feminism I guess.
"More Third World aliens now enter the U.S. every six months than the entire number of British and European settlers who created the country out of a wilderness from 1607 to 1776."
That statement alone is enough to cause readers to abandon all hope. Thanks to the efforts of all guilty parties (leftist and fake conservative politicians, globalism, the mainstream media, ignorant pundits and the people themselves) Uncle Sam is not just sick and dying, he's already a rotting corpse.
The attack on the West began when Europeans lost WWII.
The greatest calamnity from WWII was the collapse of Europe and America's domination over the elites of Western societies.
The true victors of WWII were America's Jewish dominated elite, and this elite went about purging from the power structures of those Western societies they controlled of "nazis" and "racists" which are simply terms given selectively to white Gentiles who view their race as a sovereign race.
"Politicians will never do something just because it is the right thing to do. They will often do wrong things if the wrong things flatter their vanity and enhance their power."
As Kenneth Minogue observed: Fools are paramount in politics, and there is nothing which they are unable to destroy.
Here is an interesting aside: the 2008 issue of the Guinness Book of Records lists the Waco massacre as a "Modern Mass Suicide". It's number 3 on the list just behind Jonestown.
Here is a post which I made on this topic on another forum. Another member of that form posted as to how cynical the Republicans were in courting the "Christian right," with the topic being Huckabee, the new Elmer Gantry. Infra is my response.
"You are absolutely down range and on target in your post. It applies to us Southerns as well - dupes and fools we Christians and Southerns are, barking like stupid yard dogs to get into the house with the poodle. From time to time, the Republicans send the house servant out to pat our heads and give us some rancid meat coated in someone's fresh blood. We wag our tails and yap with glee. When the wolf or the cougar threatens the master's house, we, the yard dogs, dutifully press into the fray and spill our blood. The poodle sits at the window in the warmth of the fire with her food nearby and grins knowingly!"
I later posted this as a response to another member of that same forum you said that she enjoyed the analogy reflected in my post given supra:
"I hope for the day, probably not in my lifetime, when the yard dogs finally get wise and break into the house. Were I there, this Old Cur would let the rest of the pack take care of the servant and the master; I'd kill that damn poodle!"
Mr Peters,that day maybe comming!
Careful with the word "punishment"!
Quote: "They must always be forced to do the right thing by threat of punishment—witness the recent defeat of illegal alien amnesty."
The bill below may prevent that from now on and further protect our entrenched goofballs in government.
EXCERPT FROM THE CONSTITUTION PARTY WEBSITE:
H.R. 1955, titled the Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007 allows the government to target Americans and actually calls "thought" crimes "homegrown terrorism".
Part of the bill (Section 899A) employs extremely vague terminology ("violent radicalization") to describe the promoting of any belief system that the government considers "extremist".
The Constitution Party suggests that since the language in H.R. 1955 is so vague, the government can consider anything at odds with its agenda to be "radical" or "extremist".
ps.
Excellent Article!
Lord Karth,
I was about to disagree with you, but then saw where you were going with your post. I agree. Perhaps trying so hard avoiding the collapse is the wrong strategy.
Uncle Sam is not just sick and dying, he’s already a rotting corpse.
OK. Maybe I am a maggot;but, I'll fly away oh glory I'll fly away
"More Third World aliens now enter the U.S. every six months than the entire number of British and European settlers who created the country out of a wilderness from 1607 to 1776."
There are probably that many Muslims in the Detroit metro area.
All:
Amerikans are soft. We deserve what we elect.
Come on, now, it's only obvious that as long as we have radio talking heads defining our psyche we can't but want to embrace " democracy" and invite every third-worlder to our shores.
Gibbons was sooooooooooooooooooo right.

I see everyone's going a tad crazy, understandably.
I just saw the flick (a good one) 'No Country For Old Men'.
Let me spell it out if possible.
There is NOTHING at the center of the universe except what You create UNDER God. (study those words.) don't even get one of them 'wrong'... or you go that way. If you don't then go THERE without penalty.
Anyway one of the 'ideas' in the film mentioned above was that it's tidal ... the green hair - bones in one's nose - lack or complete abscence of morality... gone after no normal manners are in evidence and the respectful calling of one another mame or sir. And so since it's tidal or 'inevitable' it ain't about "any one thing."
WRONG. It's about accepting that evil is also a part of oneself - not merely apart or seperate from oneself... Then it IS about "one thing" the decline via the MEDIA (since we are conceptual creatures) and inevitably the Media SETS THE AGENDA ... the attack and decline of Christianity via the "witty" MONOLITHIC (and thus unfree) Media.
The media today is 'like' a wit - thought it's not even witty - and it is NOT a sage. Yet it has a strangle hold on the conceptual aspect of the Conceptual creatures.
So yes it then IS about that ONE thing: the decline of Christianity via the Media...
blow-Up the networks (seriously) IF you want to stay alive - does that make the 'sane' then "terrorists"?
Perhaps the demonic was expecting that reactionary imperative - and got one step ahead then to pre-Label it 'terrorism' ???????
I don't know - I ask YOU.
________
This may be my favorite article ever by Dr. Wilson.
Thank you, Sir.
Would it be any more preferable for voters to continue to vote for the candidate in the general election which most represents their values, including those who might vote for say, Dr. Paul in primary/caucus, but then do the nose-holding for the general?
Yet could we discuss this point--that it would be a matter of the voters in 2012 reacting against the socialist Democrat POTUS should one be elected this fall, rather than reacting in 2012 against the neocon or social gospel "Republican"?
I would have to agree that Dr. Paul would experience heel-dragging like we've never seen it before.
Very unfortunate.
Yet to me it looks like holding your nose might not necessarily be the best option.
I agree with most of the observations but is it necessary for a military record from our candidates? McCain is better for his?
Before worrying about the heel-dragging, Dr. Paul has to worry about being nominated - almost impossible; getting elected - actually much more likely than getting nominated; and getting assassinated - about as likely as getting elected. If, were he President, he could simply get the imperial armies back home and out of the one hundred-thirty something countries in which they are now posted, he would have accomplished much. Perhaps campaigns such as that of Dr. Paul at least break the thrall on folks who would otherwise remained in the trance, and perhaps, out of those few thus awakened in some circumstance which we today cannot imagine, the Republic can, at least for a while, reassert itself. I say for a while because one can never really kill a witch (the empire); she will always return in some form, particularly when integrity wanes.
I dont think it will last until 2025. I give the empire ten years at most. More likely, it'll be no more than five. Let it go, the sooner the better. Then, people will begin to wake up as they have to survive.
Things must get worse before they get better.
One off topic note: Ian Smith, R.I.P. The Rt. Hon. Ian Douglas Smith GCLM ID, Prime Minister of Rhodesia, died on the 20th of November. One of the greatest men of the 20th century passed on, and the world took little or no notice. I didn't hear about it until new year's day. He was the Jefferson Davis of our time. He stood for what he knew to be right and took on the entire world. God bless you and keep you, Sir.
"Politicians will never do something just because it is the right thing to do. They will often do wrong things if the wrong things flatter their vanity and enhance their power. They must always be forced to do the right thing by threat of punishment—witness the recent defeat of illegal alien amnesty."
Not correct. Democrats can, by and large, be counted on to attempt to advance the agendas held by most of their constituents; it is only true of the Republicans. This is an important distinction because of what it says about the nature of the system. We live in what amounts to a velvet dictatorship of the media boardrooms, the two sides are not equal in power, the Republicans must placate the liberal establishment, the opposite is seldom true. The system is closer to that of the former East Germany, with the Republicans playing the part of ye olde loyal opposition, than a true, vibrant democracy.
"Since Reagan put Bush Major on the ticket and surrendered to the Trotskyites, the conservative movement”
If neocons took over the party it was only because the big business Republicans had already hollowed it out. This is a recurring problem with conservative parties, the leadership for some reason (perhaps the streak of authoritarianism in conservatives) tends to be captured by Lord Soandso, whom the people in the cottages hope will preserve their way of life. But Lord Soandso comes from a different country than the cottage people - he's secretly contemptuous of them in fact - his loyalty is to his class, which he defines as the nation. Look at the utter blindness of Republican Senators on the beliefs and feelings of the rank and file on the immigration issue. The only things they see in supporting immigration is that it gets the establishment off their backs on the charge of "racism", thus they pretend to see the invaders as only economic units. But never mind the issue of immigration, concentrate on the cluelessness and disconnection here. This isn't a real political party.
"Surely there is no other instance in history of an entire people so weak and befuddled as to allow the rulers to give away their country and disinherit their children."
In fact there is, more or less. It is a common feature of imperial rule and a classic sign of end-stage decay. When a people are struggling it's "we're all in this together", once they become successful the ruling class starts to think of itself as a biologically superior race as separated from their former people as they are from strangers. They don't really care which inferiors they rule as long as they rule, and often prefer outlanders who are less threat to their rule, indeed help it through divide and conquer.
Trey @ # 17:
The Crash is coming, and I honestly don't see a whole Hell of a lot that can be done to stop it. The current regime will not be inclined to do much to try, since its power and tenure in office is based on its ability to spread the boodle around to as many beneficiaries as possible.
The problem for traditionalists is simple enough, conceptually speaking: how do we survive the disorders that the Crash will bring ? Going "survivalist", a la Kurt Saxon, is probably not an option for most of us who frequent this site, but there are some practical steps to take that may help minimize the Crash's effects.
I'm not going to go into great detail, other than to say that maintaining one's financial independence (getting and staying out of debt, maintaining a financially sustainable standard of living and maximizing knowledge of practical skills) will be of prime importance.
The other things one can do on an individual level have already been noted by Dr. Fleming, C. Williamson and others on this site: If you're married, stay married. Keep a good personal library, including the Bible, Shakespeare and other major works of traditional Western/American culture. Turn off the television !Simply put, become a small outpost of civilization in your own corner of the world.
Above all else, PUT NOT YOUR TRUST IN POLITICS, or in particular politicians. (Sorry, Ron-Paulies.) Our first obligation is to maintain Western society in our own families; that will be challenge enough for most of us. IF you do choose to participate by "voting", then vote defensively. Recognize that local action will be most likely to succeed, and even then not to any great degree.
I commend to your attention the words of a certain R. Heinlein. (Quite the freethinker, I concede, but even freethinkers get one right on occasion.) To quote his "Methuselah's Children": "Wars and depressions and Prophets and Covenants--they pass. The trick is to stay alive through them." Concentrate on staying alive, and on staying Human.
I hope this helps.
Your servant,
Lord Karth
Can we say "capital" treason?
Dr. Wilson again hits the nail on the head! It all seems very sad, but is actually the inevitable consequence of government growing completely out of control and all things now being managed by government bureaucrats...not to mention corporate ones.
Lord Karth @ #28 "Our first obligation is to maintain Western society in our own families; that will be challenge enough for most of us." This is indeed a tall order, and I quite agree -- a challenge most definitely, but may well hold the key to survival; unfortunately, this institution has been under savage attack by the ruling elites for a long, long time and I fear most of us have been duped into falling down here. Even the churches have been almost entirely silent and of no help.
We need a generation of men willing to take control of their families and women willing to stay at home and take care of the home front and truly care for the children. Instead, we urge men to be more like women and encourage women to be more like men, even to the point of joining the military. It is very sad to me that most men seem to care very little for these lamentable developements.
Time will tell us what will happen. Meanwhile, enjoy life and lets all work harder at maintaining Western society by strengthening our families.
Cheers to all,
"We need a generation of men willing to take control of their families and women willing to stay at home and take care of the home front and truly care for the children. Instead, we urge men to be more like women and encourage women to be more like men, even to the point of joining the military. It is very sad to me that most men seem to care very little for these lamentable developements."
That is all fine and dandy, Mr. Breisch, but how do you bring about this social revolution. Every institution in our country, even the military, has drilled into our heads the lie that the "liberation" of women is one of the great feats of modern social enlightenment, an entirely progressive development, and "you can't fight progress".
So how do you propose we bring about this revolution, by lobbying our legislators to overturn civil rights laws for women? Fat chance of that happening. Any member of Congress who even half-seriously made such a suggestion would be immediately drummed out of office to the cries of "jihadist", and be accused of trying to turn America into a Saudi Arabia of the West.
And forget about the churches taking the lead in this social revolution. Who would it be, the Baptists with their higher-than-average divorce rate? The Roman Catholic church, with its legions of feminist members who curse their own Pope for being a male chauvinist? Even the most traditional family oriented church in this country - Christian or otherwise - the Mormons, are experiencing an unprecedented rebellion in their ranks by the current generation of college educated women raised in the church who wish to live as secular career women do.
Sorry Mr. Breisch, but the women's lib genie was let out of the bottle a long time ago, and I don't see how anybody is going to be able to cram it back in at this point...
Excellent point, again, about America being a different nation. Would it be accurate to point a finger at the "new immigrants" who entered after the North-South War as the start of the flood?
I fear Fleming and you are mistaken to aim your limited fire at Romney. Surely he's preferred to McCain, Giuliani, and Huckabee. Tancredo, Bob Jones III, and Weyrich all saw fit to endorse him as the least of evils.
I'll vote Paul, but I've been hoping Romney would be Paul's safety net as the least of the terrible evils.
Romney too is not a member of CFR. Better an empty suit like Romney than an empty head like McCain, or worse still a black heart like Obama's, one that yearns for America's destruction.
Devils all, but some have sharper claws than have others.
Lord Karth at 28,
I'll concentrate on staying Christian. Death is awfully inevitable, and as to "staying Human," I am afraid that the evil condition in which we find ourselves is a product of the fallen and flawed HUMAN heart. I once attended a play on the life of Dietrich Bonhoeffer. In the play, the character of Bonhoeffer raised the question, "Where is God?" In a question and answer session after the play, an older gentleman rose to ask, wanting to say something profound in the post-modern sense, "Where was man?" Those in the session applauded. I could not resist, so I rose to say, "Man was where he has always been, save for the moments he is focused on that allegedly missing God, killing himself, murdering himself, destroying himself. WWII and all of its horrors are the essence of fallen man without God!" I yet and still hold to that.
From the very beginning, I've been called nuts for saying that Hillary and Rudy don't stand a chance. Hmm...
I was also called nuts by some of my best friends for saying McCain was the likely nominee. I hope to God, especially now that the amnesty cat is out of the bag, that I was wrong on that one---maybe like I was wrong to predict Edwards.
My only real surprise from this whole shenanigan has been a good one: The insurgency of Ron Paul.
RMP-
Hey that was good!
Thanks for the inspired talk. When men leave God, not only do our hearts falter into evil, but our reason is blinded even to the most obvious -- as we write plays we think show forth our brilliance.
Why shall I vote for Dr. Paul for President this year? For the same reason one lays a flower upon a departed loved one's casket before the conveyor belt carries it to the furnace.
If Dr. Paul did get elected and did manage to avoid assassination, he would be in a position like that which we are told was the lot of a late Western Roman emperor named Majorian: Competent, honest, vigorous, energetic - and one man against a trend of decay centuries deep.
Excellent article Dr. Wilson. Somebody once said; "Nothing is politically right that is morally wrong." We see the same problems in Canada and Europe with morally challenged politicians of all political stripes.
